Over 2,000 Sail to Mexico Gay Halloween Style

Atlantis Cruises had its first Halloween cruise and it brought out a ship full of gay revelers with costumes and fun for all. Over 2,000 from around the world arrived in Los Angeles for a weeklong cruise down the Mexican Riviera with stops in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.

Palm Springs Pride Honors Iraq War Veteran

Greater Palm Springs Pride honored an Iraq War Veteran and national spokesman for the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, an original member of Dykes on Bikes and documentary filmmaker, an early out gay reporter, and local celebrities as grand marshals in is 26th annual Pride Parade on Sunday, November 4th, along Palm Canyon Drive through the heart of Downtown Palm Springs.

Retired Staff Sergeant Eric Alva, the first American soldier wounded in the Iraq War, was honored as the 2012 grand marshal. Alva is recognized as a LGBT civil rights activist and a national spokesman for the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Community grand marshals include an original member of Dykes on Bikes, director, producer and historian Glenne McElhinney, along with one of the first out gay reporters in the country Hank Plante. Celebrity grand marshals were television, radio and stage performer Joey English and fashion designer Michael Costello.
